HUNGARIAN GLIDERS
1933-2000

Type designation: M-30C
Name: Fergeteg
Designer: Designers of the Hungarian Aeronautical Association
Class: High performance
General arrangement: Shoulder wing, tandem seats, retractable wheel, traditional tail unit
Crew: 2
First flight: April 1953
Manufacturer: Central Workshop of Hungarian Aeronautical Association, Dunakeszi
Number of built: 1

Short history:
Following the M-30B, a new variation, the M-30C had been developed, which first flew in April 1953.

Structure:  All wooden
   Wing:
The structure of the M-30C variation was similar to that of the M-30B, however a flap system identical to the original M-30 design conception had been fitted. A more simple flap-aileron push-rod activation mechanism was developed and used. The leading edges of the flaps as well as the interconnected differential split ailerons were of normal-type.
   Fuselage:
The cross section of the fore part of the fuselage had been increased to make the cockpit more comfortable and the after part of the fuselage had been modified as well to accomodate the new horizontal stabilizer. A new, one-piece canopy, opening sideways, was fitted.
   Tail unit:
The tail unit had a traditional arrangement. A larger rudder - compared to the M-30B - was fitted and the conventional horizontal stabilizer-elevator unit was sitting on a console placed on the top of the fuselage.
